German Markets round up year 24-11-2008 - Members of the development society GFI German Wholesale Markets met in Stuttgart on 11 and 12 November 2008 for their 14th General Meeting.
They discussed marketing measures for 2009 which aim to continue the successful PR and media work of past years, primarily promoting the country’s wholesale markets to German consumers and business/political communities.

Commission to allow sale of 'wonky' fruit and veg 17-11-2008 - Rules governing the size and shape of fruit and vegetables will be consigned to history after European Union Member States recently voted on Commission proposals to repeal specific marketing standards for 26 types of fruit and vegetables. The Commission's initiative to get rid of these standards is a major element in its ongoing efforts to streamline and simplify EU rules and cut red tape.
