XV AIAM5 International Congress has been postponed!

Given the global health crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the uncertainty caused by this situation at different levels of our lives, both economic, social and health, the Association 5 a day Spain has decided to postpone the XV AIAM5 International Congress for the Promotion of Fruits and Vegetables Consumption, scheduled for October 22 and 23 in Madrid this year.

Accordingly, provided that the conditions allow it and taking into account that the medium-term scenarios could still be very changing, the organization undertakes to hold the congress, as well as all the activities around the AIAM5 Global Alliance, in October 2021 in Madrid, preferably within the framework of the International Fair of Fruit Attraction.

AIAM5 Global Alliance for the Promotion of Fruit and Vegetable Consumption "5 a day", within the framework of the 20th Anniversary of the Association "5 a day Spain", and in the context of the International Fruits and Vegetables Sector Fair " Fruit Attraction ", invites to the XV International AIAM5 Congress of Promotion of Fruits and Vegetables Consumption.  

The Congress’s aims are to examine the role of the horticultural sector in the development of healthy, fair and sustainable food systems, to update of the scientific evidence on fruits and vegetables consumption and the prevention of non-communicable diseases and to exchange on the planning of successful public policies in the promotion of  fruits and vegetable consumption.  

The WUWM generally holds a congress every two years and an annual member conference twice a year. Thematic or regional meetings are also held as the need arises.

The WUWM congress is open to both members and non-members and is relevant to all wholesale/retail market operators and traders, food hygiene/security experts, food industry representatives, producers, distributors, academics, and national / regional decision-makers. WUWM congresses provide delegates with valuable networking opportunities, and an international forum to debate the latest issues and trends facing not only wholesale and retail markets, but the market sector and food distribution industries worldwide.

WUWM Conferences are primarily aimed at the WUWM membership, however non-member observers and guests are always welcome to register and attend.
