Registration open for the WUWM Conference in Thessaloniki!

The first annual WUWM Conference for 2014 will be hosted in the Central Market of Thessaloniki in Greece.
Mr Panagiotis Kakafikas, Chairman of the Board of the market welcomes WUWM members to the city.
“We hope to be successful in ensuring all participants enjoy and benefit from their stay in our city” he said.
Thessaloniki is Greece’s second major economic, industrial, commercial and political centre, and a major transportation hub for the rest of south east Europe, its commercial port is also of great importance for Greece and the south eastern European hinterland. The city is renowned for its festivals, events and vibrant cultural life in general, and is considered to be Greece’s cultural capital.
The theme of this conference is “Markets: The Platform for Logistical Excellence”. Discussions will focus on challenges and opportunities offered in the financing of markets. In addition, new means of innovating market management will be proposed.
Thessaloniki, located in northern Greece, is a crossroad for the Balkans, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, as well as the European region. It is the second-largest city in Greece and the capital of the region of Central Macedonia. Its metropolitan area has a population of 1,006,730 inhabitants.
